LHC
The Large Hadron Collider (Beta)
A new fictional track for NASCAR Racing 2003 Season by Papyrus is now available in beta. Set on the surface directly above the main ring of the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) project in Europe, the track consists of a 26.7 km (16.6 mile) circle which brings you through farmland, forests, up the side of the Jura Mountains and though the sites of the project's main experiments: ALICE, ATLAS, CMS and LHCb.
Your lap begins by entering Switzerland at the French and Swiss border near the ATLAS experiment (near Meyrin, Switzerland). After alternating between France and Switzerland another five times along the way, you'll begin a slow, 200 meter ascent along the West side of the Jura Mountains. Once you reach about 615 meters above sea level you'll gain great speeds as it is a quick run back down toward the ALICE experiment and the finish line!
During a race it is probably a good idea to turn off the full pace lap and yellow flags as they are unrealistic for a track of this size!
More information is available in the readme.txt file that is included with the track.
